Optical Gas Sensor Modules

These are measurement cores for customers who build instruments rather than buy finished ones. Each module is a complete measurement core — light source, optical path, detector, signal processing and firmware — supplied with the interface documentation, calibration procedure and communication protocol needed to integrate it into a finished instrument.

What this family covers

NDIR modules for CO, CO₂, NOₓ, single and multi-component gases; NDUV modules for NO, NO₂, O₃ and SO₂, including a bare optical core for integration; NDVIS for the visible range; and DOAS including open-path configurations for long-path and high-sensitivity measurement.

Applications

Instrument manufacturers · OEM and white-label brands · system integrators · academic and industrial research platforms

Specifications for this family are not yet published. The optical module range is maintained as a separate datasheet set and is not part of the 2025 printed catalog. The scope above describes what the family covers; the per-module specifications — wavelength, measurement range, output protocol, supply voltage, warm-up time, calibration method — are supplied on request as factory datasheets. Pages for individual modules are not published until those datasheets are released.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between NDIR and NDUV?

Short-wave infrared (NDIR) suits gases with strong IR absorption — CO, CO₂, SO₂, CH₄, NOₓ, NH₃. Ultraviolet (NDUV) suits gases with strong UV absorption, including O₃, NO, NO₂ and SO₂. Both are non-dispersive, which removes moving parts and supports long service life. The choice follows from the gas, not from a preference for one technology.

When should I choose DOAS instead of NDIR?

Differential optical absorption spectroscopy suits long-path, high-sensitivity and open-path measurement where a local point measurement is insufficient — stack monitoring at distance, fence-line perimeter measurement, and open-path leak detection.

What do you supply with a module?

Interface specification and communication protocol (UART, I²C or RS485 as specified), firmware outputting raw value, compensated value and diagnostic status, the calibration procedure and coefficients where applicable, the reference gas requirement for your range, mechanical drawing and connector type, and the operating temperature, humidity and EMC requirements.

What are MOQ and lead time?

Stated in the quotation before you commit, not discovered afterwards. Standard configurations carry standard minimums; a custom gas, range, connector or housing changes both the minimum and the engineering cost, and we will say so up front.
