1030 1030 Gas Analysis Preprocessing System

Overview

The probe determines the quality of everything downstream. A sampler configured with the wrong probe type, the wrong temperature rating or a worn filter holder will produce a technically correct but methodically invalid result. These are the components we design and manufacture alongside the instruments they serve.

Frequently asked questions

Why does probe selection matter so much?

Because the probe sits in the gas stream and defines what the rest of the system measures. Probe diameter, material and temperature rating must match the duct geometry and the flue gas temperature. A leak in the probe or a degraded filter holder biases the entire result, and the bias may not be detectable in the subsequent gravimetric calculation. Specify the probe with the instrument and replace consumable parts on schedule.

What temperature can these probes handle?

Depends on the model. The 1089A and 1089T use heated sampling lines rated to 200 °C with configurable heat tracing. The 1087A oil fume probe is rated to 200 °C with an extraction efficiency of at least 95%. Higher-temperature applications require the extended-temperature options; specify your working temperature and we will confirm the configuration.

How often should consumable parts be replaced?

It depends on the duty cycle and the gas being sampled, so rather than publishing a single number we publish the part numbers and typical service life per product family and ask you to set the interval from your own usage data. Typical consumables include filter membranes, desiccant, absorption solutions, silastic tubing and filter cores. Ask your sales representative for the consumables list for your specific model.
